Aircraft Paint Protection & beautification
With a legacy that began in 1998 by CEO/Founder Luc Lefebvre d’Argencé, Permagard has earned a reputation as a high-quality aircraft paint protection solution. Proudly manufactured and handmade in Miami, Florida, USA, Permagard is ISO 9001-certified, meaning our products adhere to the strict ISO 9001 standards set by their quality management system.
Permagard’s products were designed to thrive not only in the harsh environment of South Florida, but anywhere in the world your aircraft may venture, making it the perfect choice for aircraft subjected to extreme weather conditions.
How Does Permagard work?
Cross Linking
The Permagard coating utilizes a chemical bonding process called, “cross-linking”, which creates a strongly linked chain of ionic bonds that produces highly-durable paint protection across the entire treated surface. This chemistry provides the best non-invasive form of paint protection, ensuring that your paint and clearcoat will be strongly protected against environmental attacks.
Environmental Attacks
Environmental attacks such as UV radiation, salt-laden air and water, extreme temperatures, dust, sand, runway grime, and insects, are natural and inevitable occurrences in the world of aviation. Whether it’s the scorching sun, intense icing, acid rain, or harsh oxidation, you can rest easy knowing that Permagard will protect your aircraft from anything thrown its way. Permagard acts as a durable sacrificial layer, producing 4 microns of highly flexible thickness to protect your aircraft’s paint and clearcoat. Permagard acts as the first line of defense against environmental attacks to protect your aircraft’s paint as much as possible with virtually no added weight.
Unrivaled Shine
None of Permagard’s competitors come close to the appearance of an aircraft that has been freshly treated with their Permagard Aviation Paint Protection. With gloss readings in the high 90s or even low 100s, Permagard assures that your aircraft will be as beautiful and luxurious as the day you first laid eyes on it. With a touch as smooth as satin, your senses will be continuously spoiled for years to come.
Key Benefits to using Permagard Aviation protective coatings
Permagard leads the way when it comes to beneficial properties for aircraft paint protection. Whether it’s simplifying the application process, providing full durable protection from environmental attacks, or producing a superior gloss like no one else, Permagard’s benefits outshine the competition every time.
Ease of Application
Permagard is easy to apply for anyone with aircraft polishing experience. We streamline the process to achieve maximum results in a reasonable frame of time, with no requirement for paint correction (compounding) or paint decontamination. Permagard can also be applied in any indoor environment with no requirement for sterile, temperature-controlled facilities such as a paint booth. This is one of the best benefits that separates Permagard from other stricter application procedures.
Minimal Downtime
In the rigorous world of aviation, every minute matters. Whether it’s an initial application or an annual treatment, Permagard understands the assignment. Once an initial application or annual treatment is complete, the aircraft can take off. No wait time is required after a Permagard application. Once the Permagard coating or Service Treatment has been applied, they will fully cure in any environment, regardless of weather conditions, ensuring that no time is spent on the ground due to a long curing or drying process. With the flexibility to apply to any newly painted aircraft or the simplistic procedure of an annual Service Treatment, Permagard will save you precious time and get you back into the sky as soon as possible.
enhanced paint vibrancy
The Permagard coating works to enhance your aircraft’s paintwork by vivifying its colors and bringing deeper contrasts to give your aircraft a breathtaking appearance. Your aircraft’s paint will flourish, with colors showing off the signature “Permagard POP!”, and heightened contrasts to produce better overall paint clarity. All while producing a high gloss and deep depth of shine that Permagard is so famous for. Whether it’s a brand new business jet or a vintage prop plane, no painted surface will appear dull, aged, or lifeless, if it’s protected by Permagard.
Whether new or old
Brand new or freshly painted aircraft? 20-year-old dull, oxidized paint? Permagard protects and bonds to all painted surfaces, regardless of their age or paint system. For brand new or newly painted aircraft, simply apply the Permagard coating. For older aircraft, Permagard pretreatment products (Treatment for Slightly Damaged Surfaces or Treatment for Very Damaged Surfaces) is required before applying the Permagard coating to guarantee the best results. Each aircraft’s painted surfaces are unique and have different amounts of flight time they’ve endured, so keep this in mind when applying Permagard products. Whether it’s straight out of manufacturing or 10 years old with thousands of miles, there’s nothing quite like seeing a freshly Permagarded aircraft, looking better than brand new, take off into the sky and shine with the sun.
Simple Maintenance
When it comes to maintaining your aircraft that’s been protected with Permagard, Permagard believes in a simple and easy maintenance process. They manufacture high-quality aerospace maintenance products, provided in a streamlined manner, to help maintain your Permagard coating at all times.
Wash routine
Cleaning a Permagard-treated aircraft is as easy as following your regular washing routines. The Permagard coating does not contain any wax or silicate, so there is no need for constant reapplications during detailing processes. Permagard also produces incredible slickness to the treated surfaces, which reduces the effort needed to wash any Permagard-treated aircraft with simply water and our maintenance products.
One-Stop Shop
The maintenance process consists of only 2 products to help maintain your Permagard coating: The Permagard Multipurpose Cleaner for wet washes and aircraft wipe-downs, and the Permagard Cleaner for Treated Surfaces for spot cleaning and stain removal. There is no need for numerous sprays of various liquids, waxes, or wax-based cleaners to maintain the Permagard coating.
The Annual
Permagard is the first line of defense in protecting your aircraft’s paint from the elements and environmental attacks. The only product that is required to maintain the Permagard coating and keep it in good standing with the Permagard Maintenance Program is the Permagard Service Treatment. The Permagard Service Treatment is applied every 11-13 months to deep clean the Permagard coating and fill in any micro-scratches that may have appeared on the treated surfaces over time. The Permagard Service Treatment also increases the gloss and slickness of the original Permagard coating, ensuring strong performance between maintenance intervals. One of the best benefits of the Permagard Service Treatment is that it is applied the exact same way as the Permagard coating to keep the application process streamlined and effective for the Permagard-certified installer. Keeping your Permagard-treated aircraft maintained with the Permagard Service Treatment through the Permagard Maintenance Program is imperative for keeping the Permagard coating in good standing and performing at its best. If the Permagard-treated aircraft is kept active in the Permagard Maintenance Program, you are guaranteeing to maintain gloss readings greater than 90 units over the lifetime of your aircraft’s paintwork.
